"We brought in Drum Pulse for the final part of a three phase training programme for a Finance team. Our brief was to bring together disparate parts of an expanding organization that had acquired new businesses over a broad geographical area. An ambitious plan to bring about cultural change that needed greater experiential momentum, particularly given the profile of Finance team members, most of whom had never met.
What DP provided was a safe and fun environment in which to explore serious issues; where individuals could contribute as proactively or as collaboratively as they felt comfortable. They tapped into the genuine "pride" and "passion" that were underpinning the development campaign. The whole effect left the groups in exactly the right state of mind to work towards future personal and business goals".
"For years people who have trained with Richard Bandler, John La Valle, or myself have heard us banging on about rhythm through the voice and rhythm through speech. These kinds of lessons usually come through music - studying or playing one kind of instrument or another. There are however, diamond lessons to be learnt, far beyond improving your verbal abilities to deliver suggestions or entraining other people into a state. The most important things I learnt from playing music with other people was learning to listen to, and communicate (musical) ideas clearly and how to "find the groove". Both key insights into how to work as a team. Teamwork is more than a debate about the role of leaders and followers, clarity of intention and purpose, or clear roles within a team. There is a "magic something else" that characterises effective teams. I'm always on the lookout for interesting and unusual angles to approach topics and I've been working with Mark Hunter of Drumpulse on a way to bring non-musicians into what every musician learns - without tears or fuss." We had the pleasure of participating in a global training project with Hunter Roberts and Corporate Drama, this took us on numerous visits to Paris, Milan, New York, LA and then Brunei.
