Being just a drummer is not enough; a DrumPulse facilitator must assess, react and adapt to each situation and audience instantly.
Our events are meticulously thought out and prepared for, that is why they seem so spontaneous and unique. Our success is our team.
Meet our team,
Our Head Facilitator Mark Hunter from Perth, Scotland combines whirlwind energy and a passion for excellence to lead our DrumPulse teams.
Whether Mark is working with a leadership course of five people or jumping off stage in front of a thousand person conference, the emphasis is always on inspiring that group to their next level.
Mark has been a professional drummer for over twenty years, hobbies have included; Sky diving, Rock climbing and Fencing. He loves being a new Dad.
Lisa has been with DrumPulse from the very beginning, heading up events but also creating them back at HQ!
Her motto is ‘Anything is possible’ and she thrives on challenges. She gets a real buzz from seeing people transformed during the events.
Lisa is trained in Firearms, Tap Dancing and the production of fine Roast dinners…but finds her rhythms skills most handy during events.
Steve loves to be part of a team that communicates and motivates through group rhythms. He gains great satisfaction in watching and hearing the group develop their rhythmic voices. Fifteen years of professional drumming experience help him to facilitate this. He enjoys all sports to help him remain fit enough to do this work!
Ra is our resident HAKA master. At 6’4” this native New Zealander has the power of ten tigers and is very passionate about his homeland. A keen sportsman & surfer, Ra also used to be in the Military.
Claire loves nothing more than to see people enjoying life as much as she does! Whether it is through drumming, high kicking in the can-can or releasing the stresses of life teaching the Haka. She also likes to give Mark a run for his money in how high she can jump off the stage!!!!!! Claire’s motto is.... "Live life"
As a native Fijian, Dom's sense of rhythm is second nature and his leadership style reflects the welcome of the Pacific islands. Even the most musically challenged find a voice with DrumPulse's own Man Friday. After graduating from medical college Dom returned to his first love of film directing but found music again along the way. Now a professional drummer he splits his time between London and LA but enjoys nothing more than simply cooking for friends.
Over the last decade, Nathan has worked extensively in the West End, in a variety of some of the world's most popular and successful musicals. As the DrumPulse resident vocal coach, he has led a variety of unusual voice-based events, and always enjoys the challenge of creating something new and exciting to add to the portfolio. A keen and accomplished musician, Nathan also facilitates in the drumming department, heading rhythm workshops or assisting other members of the DrumPulse team as required.
Carl has been a professional actor/musician for the last 20 years. With a deep interest in psychology and personal development, he has been drawn to the world of corporate training. In his down time, when he's not drumming, Carl dreams of running a juice bar in the Caribbean. In the meantime, he juices carrots in his kitchen, in South London.
Ann is an enthusiastic team player who enjoys performing. She has been active in both the company's domestic and overseas events.
The variety of events and the challenge of the creative process are particular areas that Ann finds rewarding.
She is looking forward to upcoming events and the fun times that are to be had.
James has been with us for a couple of years now.
His heel clicking, dustbin tapping rhythms gets everyone going, and he is a much valued member of the team. He is also a classical/jazz pianist.
Jerry has an incurable case of serial percussionitis! Between guerilla appearances alongside all-star line ups at The Big Chill and tending to his climbing and triathlon aspirations he dedicates himself to helping others realise their true potential (as well as making Mark look good)
Louise co-ordinates us all from the office, she channels your enquiries into proposals leading to your own unique event. Her role is to organise as much as she can from our end so that each client can relax and simply enjoy the day itself. We love listening to Louise negotiate with Russian custom officials…its cruel but funny.
Another part of our team is the Remo Drum Company. Remo support DrumPulse with a huge range of the finest drums available. We use a selection of Remo drum types from all over the globe to promote a subtle multicultural message.
With no animal skins used at all and using state of the art body materials we avoid any issues with religious or ethical concerns. Remo drums are not affected by temperature in our outside event options or transportation by air.
Their website has a wealth of information on drums, drumming and the health benefits connected to these activities. www.remo.com
